Apple has started a new wave of beta software updates today, releasing developer beta 1 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, and more.

Apple Releases iPadOS 26.5 beta 1 and Other New Beta Updates

If you are part of Apple’s developer beta program, new updates are available for you to download today.

With iOS 26.5 and macOS 26.5 taking the spotlight, Apple has also released the following beta 1 versions:

  • iPadOS 26.5
  • tvOS 26.5
  • watchOS 26.5
  • visionOS 26.5
  • HomePod 26.5

These new software updates may provide the first hints of Siri’s Gemini-powered enhancements.

Rumors increasingly suggest that iOS 27 will be the version that completely transforms Siri. However, Mark Gurman had previously reported that some new Siri features might also be included in iOS 26.5 and its accompanying updates.

Historically, Apple’s x.5 software updates have typically been released to the public in May.

As a result, these updates could be the final versions containing significant new features before the introduction of iOS 27 at the WWDC event in June.

If you are part of Apple’s public beta program, the public versions of the 26.5 updates are not yet available. However, they are expected to be released in the coming days. Still, Apple may prefer to delay the first public beta release a bit longer.

We will continue to keep you informed about notable changes and new features in iPadOS 26.5 and its accompanying versions.
