iOS 27 will be introduced in a few months, and reports suggest that it will add a new Siri application, which could be one of Apple's most popular iPhone applications.

New Siri Application Coming for iPhone in iOS 27

This year, Siri is finally getting the major AI overhaul we've been waiting for.

Last week, a report from Bloomberg revealed that Apple has adopted a multi-layered approach to make Siri more powerful and present across the system. This has me quite excited about Apple's plans.

One upcoming change will be an independent Siri application on the iPhone's Home Screen.

Mark Gurman writes in Bloomberg:

The main interface of the app will display previous conversations either as a list or in a grid of rounded rectangles with text previews. Users can pin their favorite chats, save old conversations, search through interactions, and start new chats via a prominent plus button.

The chat view resembles a conversation in Apple's Messages app; it includes chat bubbles and a text input field. There is also a toggle to switch to voice mode and an option to upload attachments like documents and photos for analysis. These features have become standard in modern chatbot interfaces.

When a new conversation is started, Siri will present suggested tips based on previous usage. The interface adapts to light and dark modes; a white background with dark text or vice versa.

All of this closely resembles what other AI chatbot applications offer, but with an interface that Apple users will feel at home with.

And I believe this Siri application could be one of the most popular iPhone applications for iOS 27 users.

Why the Siri Application Could Be a Big Success on iPhone?

Apple typically adds new applications to the iPhone's Home Screen with major operating system updates, but few become hits. For example, the Preview and Games applications in iOS 26 were completely new.

However, the Siri application in iOS 27 seems likely to be a big hit.

AI chatbot applications consistently rank at the top of the App Store. They are already some of the most popular iPhone applications.

But now, a new Siri application will automatically appear on the Home Screen of every iOS 27 user.

This Siri application will offer the same functionality as the most popular App Store applications, but with an interface that feels immediately familiar to iPhone users and seamless integration with other iOS applications.

Users clearly want what AI chatbots have to offer. And in iOS 27, the Siri application will deliver all of this in an Apple-designed package, preloaded for maximum convenience.

If the new Siri delivers the updates Apple promises, I have no doubt that the Siri application will quickly become one of the most used applications by iOS 27 users.

The new Siri application looks really exciting. I especially liked that the speech interface resembles the Messages app. If it's easy to use, it will definitely become my favorite.
