Founded by former Apple employees who developed SwiftUI, Bitrig now allows you to create iPhone applications from your Mac. Here are the details.
A new coding option has arrived for Mac
Last October, Bitrig was launched in an app store that allows users to create SwiftUI applications directly from their iPhones.
Now, the team behind the app has released the Mac version, one of the most requested additions since the iOS launch.
According to Bitrig, the new Mac application produces real Swift and SwiftUI code and creates applications that users can submit to TestFlight or the App Store if they wish.
Additionally, users may find it more comfortable to use the app on a larger screen, with a full keyboard, and the complete Xcode toolchain. This provides access to every framework in the iOS SDK.
Bitrig for Mac supports image and screenshot uploads and offers an integrated iPhone simulator that allows users to preview and interact with the application. Users can send the app to a connected iPhone with a click, making testing on the device even easier.
Users can read and edit the code manually, which is a great way to get acquainted with the syntax and overall structure of Apple's development language. Bitrig for Mac also allows users to export their code as an independent Xcode project and continue from there.
Bitrig operates with a message credit system: free accounts receive 5 credits per day (up to 30 per month), while Plus accounts receive between 200 and 1,600 credits per month, depending on their subscription level.
Subscribers can share their credits between Mac and iOS, and unused credits roll over to the next month as long as the subscription is active. Additionally, projects are synchronized between Bitrig for iOS and macOS.
Bitrig for Mac requires macOS Sequoia 15 or newer, and you can visit here for more information.
