Apple’s Do-It-Yourself Repair Store has been updated today to offer several independent repair parts for newly released products, including the repair-friendly MacBook Neo. Here are the details.
New Parts and Tools Available for Apple’s Latest Devices
Since 2022, Apple has been offering a Do-It-Yourself Repair Store where users in eligible regions can obtain parts and tools (which they can choose to purchase or rent) to perform their own repairs on supported devices.
Additionally, Apple provides official repair guides for several products, which contain detailed, step-by-step instructions for replacing each serviceable part or component.
Today, Apple updated the Do-It-Yourself Repair Store to add new parts and tools for the MacBook Neo and iPhone 17. It also includes other newly released products such as the iPad Air (M4), MacBook Air (M5), MacBook Pro (M5 Pro and M5 Max), new Studio Display, and Studio Display XDR.
Users looking to obtain parts such as the back glass and bottom speaker of the iPhone 17, as well as the casing, fans, and motherboard of the Studio Display XDR, can now access the necessary parts and tools to perform their own repairs; they can benefit from the company’s official repair guides during this process.
This is particularly good news for owners of the MacBook Neo, Apple’s new entry-level laptop, as this device has received widespread appreciation for its repairability.
