Tubi, the First Streaming Video Service with a ChatGPT Application

OpenAI’s ChatGPT application feature is a kind of bet for AI experience to become a platform on its own at some point.

Now, Tubi has become the first streaming video service to join the ChatGPT application party. Tubi states that this offers “a new way for viewers to discover and watch Tubi’s collection of over 300,000 movies and TV episodes.”

How It Works

What does it mean for Tubi to have a native ChatGPT application? This feature essentially allows you to connect Tubi with ChatGPT and chat with the video streaming service.

For example, you can request baseball movie recommendations from ChatGPT using the Tubi application.

The Tubi ChatGPT application will respond with a collection of baseball-related films available on the service. Selecting one of the results will launch the movie on Tubi’s website.

The results also include the typical ChatGPT results you would expect from an AI chatbot; generally the best baseball movies and following recommendation suggestions.

Now, with the launch of the Tubi application within ChatGPT, this exploration is spreading to places where entertainment decisions are increasingly made.
