iOS 26.5 features and changes
iOS 26.5 beta 4 has been upgraded from version number 23F5059e to 23F5069b. We expect Apple to officially release iOS 26.5 for everyone in May.
Although there are no Gemini-supported artificial intelligence features, the iOS 26.5 update includes several changes.
The most notable new feature in iOS 26.5 is found in the Maps app. The new "Suggested Places" feature is now part of the search section in Apple Maps.
Apple is also continuing to test end-to-end encryption for RCS in beta.
Especially in Europe, Apple is testing the ability to relay Live Activities to third-party accessories.
iOS 26.5 also may support monthly payments for annual subscriptions at a discounted rate with a commitment.
