The release notes for Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 detail four fixes. A crash occurred in the Default Print Service under low ink conditions, preventing users from completing their print jobs.
- An Application Not Responding error in the Terminal app caused the app and device to become unresponsive.
- A problem with audio distortion due to hardware audio processing on VoIP applications emerged, resulting in distortion and phase cancellation.
- Additionally, a bug occurred in direct audio output on devices using AIDL audio HAL when playing audio streams longer than five seconds.
Which Pixel Devices Are Supported and How to Install?
Android 17 QPR1 Beta 1 is now available for Pixel 6 and newer devices, as well as the Pixel Tablet. To install the update, you will need to enroll in the Android Beta Program. After enrolling, the update should be available over the air.
Google recommends caution when installing beta versions on primary devices, as these versions may be unstable.
