Third-party chatbot applications are continuously dominating the top ranks of the App Store, and with iOS 27, Apple is preparing to offer a first-party Siri application for your iPhone's Home Screen. Here are the features according to rumors.

Siri Application Coming to iPhone with Features Similar to ChatGPT, Claude, and More

Later this year, when you install iOS 27, there may be a new 'Siri' application on your iPhone's Home Screen.

This is just a part of the AI overhaul that Apple has planned for iOS 27.

Considering the popularity of third-party AI applications, the new Siri application could be an instant hit.

Here are the features based on reports from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

  • Conversation Bot: Like ChatGPT, the Siri application will allow you to have interactive conversations with Apple's assistant.
  • User Interface: The application will look very similar to Apple's Messages app, featuring "chat bubbles and a text input area."
  • Text or Voice: There will be a toggle that allows you to easily switch between voice mode and text interactions.
  • Uploads: You will be able to upload photos and files and get information from Siri about them.
  • History: When you open the application, you will see a list view of previous conversations or an optional grid view containing "rectangles with text previews."
  • Pinning: Just like in the Messages app, you will be able to pin frequently used chats.
  • Cross-Platform: The new Siri application will be available on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, with iCloud syncing your conversations.
  • Personal Requests: Siri will understand your personal context and be able to interact with other applications on your iPhone, allowing you to ask questions about Messages, Calendar events, Mail, and more.
  • Suggested Phrases: To start new conversations, Siri will offer "suggested phrases based on previous usage."
  • Save to Notes: According to The Information, Siri will be able to save data from chats directly to Apple Notes.
