Anthropic is addressing creative professionals with the latest Claude AI update. The company has released nine new Claude connectors that work with creative tools like Blender.

Claude AI is now integrated with Blender, Affinity, Ableton, and more

“Today, in collaboration with partners like Blender, Autodesk, Adobe, Ableton, and Splice, we are releasing a series of connectors that allow Claude to work with the software that creative professionals rely on, enabling creators to expand their access,” announced Anthropic in a blog post.

The nine new Claude connectors shared by Anthropic today are:

  • Ableton bases Claude's responses on official product documentation for Live and Push.
  • Adobe for creativity offers users the ability to bring images, videos, and designs to life using over 50 tools within Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Premiere, Express, and more.
  • Affinity by Canvaautomates repetitive production tasks throughout professional creative workflows – such as batch image adjustments, layer renaming, and file exporting – and creates custom features within the application.
  • Autodesk Fusion designers and engineers with a Fusion subscription can create and modify 3D models through conversations with Claude.
  • Blender provides a natural language interface to the Python API, making it easier for users to explore and understand complex settings and facilitating access to Blender’s documentation.
  • Resolume Arena and Resolume Wire allow VJs and live visual artists to control Arena, Avenue, and Wire for live performance and AV production in real-time through natural language.
  • SketchUp turns a conversation with Claude into a starting point for 3D modeling – define a room, a piece of furniture, or a space concept, then open it in SketchUp to develop it further.
  • Splice gives music producers the ability to search for royalty-free sample catalogs through Claude.

Anthropic is now a supporter of the Blender Development Fund

Anthropic is delving deeper into Claude's new integration with Blender:

Blender developers have now officially created an MCP connector for Claude. For example, 3D artists can analyze and debug entire Blender scenes using the Blender connector or create custom scripts to apply bulk changes to objects in a scene. Additionally, using Blender's Python API, the connector allows Claude's new tools to be added directly to Blender's interface.

The company also states that by supporting the free and open-source 3D creation suite, it is now a supporter of the Blender Development Fund. Anthropic emphasizes that since Blender uses MCP, other large language models can now also connect with Blender.

Today's release comes after the recent launch of Anthropic's latest software engineering model, Claude Opus 4.7. Claude has also recently gained the routines feature as part of the redesigned Claude Code experience.

In addition to today's creative tool connectors, Claude added connectors for Spotify and many other services last week.
