Welcome to the Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps in the indie app world. If you are a developer and want your app to be featured, please contact us.
Mood tracking apps can be really important and helpful when you want to be more aware or when you need to track this for your therapist. However, many apps either charge a subscription fee, lack depth, or do not offer everything you might need. InnerPulse aims to solve this and keep privacy at the forefront.
Featured Features
Firstly, InnerPulse has a natural user interface that embraces the Liquid Glass design language of iOS 26.
In the app, you can track your mood on a scale of 0-10 and select from over 85 mood factors that make your day good or bad. From this data, it keeps in mind the elements that affect how you feel. You can choose factors such as sleep, nutrition, work, exercise, social, digital, self-care, health, environment, and finances. You can also write additional notes if you wish.
Beyond your daily mood log, InnerPulse also offers in-depth surveys if you are facing anxiety or depression; these include the PHQ-9, GAD-7, K10, and PHQ-4 surveys. Since these are only screenings, they do not provide definitive results, but they help you track yourself.
With all this data, you can observe your trends over time and gain a better understanding of yourself or share this with health professionals.
Download the App
InnerPulse is available on the App Store for $4.99. This is a one-time purchase and does not contain ads or subscriptions. You will need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 18.6 or newer.
