Earlier today, a new leak indicated that the black option will not be available for the iPhone 18 Pro. Now, another leak source states that the standout design change for the iPhone 18 series will be the colors.
The iPhone 18 Series May Look Similar to Previous Models Except for Colors
When it comes to design changes, the iPhone 18 series is expected to receive a few notable updates.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will feature, at least, a smaller Dynamic Island and will present a more unified look between the back glass and aluminum.
However, the leak source Fixed Focus Digital states in a new Weibo post today that the main design change coming to the iPhone 18 series is "new color options."
It writes that Apple has largely avoided incorporating "new Android-style features - such as under-display technology or extreme curvature - for the iPhone 18 series."
Instead, apart from some minor adjustments, this year's new models will look quite similar to last year's.
According to the post, Apple "is sticking to the current design scheme; the frames and edges remain largely unchanged, with updates essentially focusing on new color options."
Cosmic Orange was a big hit for Apple with the iPhone 17 Pro. There are rumors that this year's series may introduce a new 'deep red' model, along with other colors being tested, including purple and brown.
The iPhone 17 Pro brought some quite significant design changes last year, so it is not surprising that there are no major updates this year. There are also rumors that next year's 20th anniversary iPhone could feature a more radical refresh.
