Apple has released the first public beta version of iOS 26.5. This update comes after the initial developer beta version released on Monday and a revision made earlier today.

Features and Changes in iOS 26.5

While there are no Gemini-supported AI features, the update includes several changes.

The most notable new feature in iOS 26.5 is found in the Maps app. The new "Suggested Places" feature is now part of the search section in Apple Maps.

Apple is also continuing to test end-to-end encryption for RCS in the beta version.

Particularly in Europe, Apple is testing the ability to relay Live Activities to third-party accessories.

iOS 26.5 may also support discounted monthly payments for annual subscriptions along with the commitment.
