Several days ago, Adobe announced the Firefly AI Assistant, a cross-application AI agent that coordinates actions and workflows in the Creative Cloud package from a single conversational interface. Now, the company is making it available in public beta. Here are the details.

Firefly AI Assistant can use over 60 tools on Adobe platforms

As we discussed last month, Adobe's new Firefly AI Assistant is an intelligent agent based on the existing AI assistants in various Creative Cloud applications, and it organizes multi-step actions from a single, unified interface, maintaining context across sessions.

From our original scope:

In practice, this means that users will not need to know the details of platforms like Photoshop, Premiere, Express, Lightroom, and Illustrator. Instead, they will direct the Firefly AI Assistant and organize actions between these applications.

At that time, Adobe had indicated that the public beta would be “available soon” and mentioned that more details would follow. Today, the company is launching the public beta and providing users access to pre-built agency workflows covering common tasks.

These include processes such as batch photo editing, mood board creation, portrait retouching, and social media asset production.

Adobe states that while the Firefly AI Assistant can perform multi-step actions across the company's applications, users retain control throughout the entire process, being able to intervene and make adjustments whenever they wish.

The company also mentions that the Firefly AI Assistant will learn user preferences over time, entering a learning process to provide “more consistent and personalized results, including preferred tools, workflows, and aesthetic choices.”

This comes with features that have contextual awareness capable of using or even creating instant adjustment tools based on existing artworks.

Adobe notes that as of today, the public beta will start being made available worldwide to customers with Creative Cloud Pro or paid Firefly plans (Pro, Pro Plus, and Premium). You can follow this link to learn more about the public beta version of Adobe Firefly AI Assistant.
