Apple has released the second public beta version of iOS 26.5. This version follows the iOS 26.5 beta 2 for developers and adds a descriptive advertising feature in Apple Maps.

iOS 26.5 Features and Changes

Although there are no Gemini-supported artificial intelligence features, the update includes several changes.

The most notable new feature in iOS 26.5 is found in Maps. The new "Suggested Places" feature is now part of the search section in Apple Maps.

Apple continues to test end-to-end encryption for RCS in the beta version.

Especially in Europe, Apple is testing the ability to transmit Live Activities to third-party accessories.

iOS 26.5 may also support discounted monthly payments for annual subscriptions along with a commitment.
