On March 31, Paul McCartney held a full concert at Apple Park to celebrate Apple’s 50th anniversary. Now, the legendary artist has shared a video showing behind-the-scenes footage of the event and campus visit. You can watch it below.
Behind Paul McCartney’s Legendary Concert at Apple Park
On the eve of Apple’s 50th anniversary, Paul McCartney performed on the rainbow stage at Apple Park in front of thousands of Apple employees.
Despite videos circulating on YouTube showing clips of the concert as of the event day, Apple has yet to release any official footage. This reinforces the idea that the performance was essentially designed as an internal celebration for employees.
However, earlier today, Paul McCartney’s YouTube channel shared an interesting video that includes not only behind-the-scenes footage of the concert but also his access to the 50th anniversary exhibition during his day at Apple Park.
In the video, Paul McCartney recalls the moment Steve Jobs gave him one of the first iPhones (or as he puts it, the “Apple phone”) and reflects on the time he brought back a now well-known photo that Apple used to promote the Beatles’ entire catalog on iTunes, saying:
This was nice because it was a photo that wasn’t widely publicized. So, we were aware of it. But I think it looked a bit like a new photo.
