Apple TV is currently airing three top-tier series, but it is also building a strong lineup for the summer. This lineup is bolstered by the return of two of the biggest hit series of all time.

#1: Silo, the dystopian sci-fi hit, returns this July

Silo is one of Apple TV's most popular sci-fi series. It may not have reached the audience levels of Severance or Pluribus, but its second season was one of the only Apple series to make it into Nielsen's top 10 list.

After approximately 18 months since the release of its last episode, Silo is returning this summer with a new season.

Silo season 3 will premiere with its first episode on Friday, July 3, and will continue weekly until September 4.

The dystopian series is based on Hugh Howey's book trilogy. Apple has already confirmed that season 4 will also be coming and will complete the story.

Here is Apple’s season 3 summary:

The third season of "Silo" continues the saga of a dystopian society of 10,000 people living underground under mysterious circumstances, while also revealing an origin story dating back centuries. In the present day, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) manages to escape mandatory "cleaning," while the silo is recovering from the aftermath of the rebellion, returning with memory loss and facing a dangerous new threat. Meanwhile, in "Previous Times," journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) are on the trail of a conspiracy that leads them to a chain of events resulting in disaster.

The third season of Silo will open up the world with completely new characters (and more sunlight) by intertwining the storylines of both the second and third books.

#2: Ted Lasso officially returns this summer, likely in August

Ted Lasso is perhaps the series most closely associated with Apple TV. It was Apple’s biggest hit, but there was a time when it was thought that the series would end with season 3.

Fortunately, after years of rumors, Apple has finally confirmed that the series will return, and multiple new seasons are now in the works.

Ted Lasso season 4 will premiere on this summer on Apple TV.

So far, Apple has only confirmed the "summer" timeframe, but star Hannah Waddingham has revealed that August is the planned release month.

Here is the season 4 summary:

Ted returns to Richmond and faces his biggest challenge yet: managing the second division women's football team. Throughout the season, Ted and the team learn to take risks they never considered before, learning to jump without looking.

The new season brings back many beloved actors, including Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift.
