John Ternus is the new CEO of Apple and according to a Bloomberg report, he has already begun reshaping Apple's internal operations using AI.
Ternus Introduced a ‘New AI Platform’ at Apple, Plans More AI Applications
In a report released last night about the new CEO John Ternus, it was noted that the experienced figure at Apple is a decisive leader who often acts on instinct rather than consensus.
This approach of taking initiative in leadership decisions seems to be focused on integrating AI more deeply into Apple's internal operations.
Mark Gurman writes in Bloomberg:
Earlier this month, Ternus reshaped the hardware engineering organization around a new AI platform designed to accelerate product development and enhance device quality. This is an indication of the company's plan to rapidly implement AI across the organization.
Details about what exactly this “new AI platform” entails have not been shared, but it is still an interesting development.
Gurman had previously reported that Apple has relied heavily on Anthropic in various aspects of its product development processes. However, there is not much information about AI applications within the company.
It seems that Ternus plans to accelerate the integration of AI systems and tools across Apple. The recent introduction of the AI platform in the hardware division is just the beginning.
What changes do you hope John Ternus will implement at Apple? Let us know in the comments.
