As WhatsApp continues to slowly integrate the Liquid Glass look into the main Chat screen, Meta is also working to add this innovative look to the chat interface. Here are the details.
Liquid Glass is still largely unavailable in WhatsApp's official app
Last year, WhatsApp began testing an early adaptation of the Liquid Glass look, bringing this appearance to the app's bottom navigation bar and some elements of the Chat tab interface.
At the beginning of October, WABetaInfo reported that the new look has started to be rolled out to some users, but the distribution appears to be progressing slower than expected; most users still cannot see the updated interface.

WhatsApp is rolling out Apple’s new Liquid Glass design language for the iOS 26 app, and it is currently available to some users!

Still, Meta continues to expand the Liquid Glass redesign in the WhatsApp beta version on TestFlight. For instance, earlier this year, the voice message player was updated with the new look. Now, WABetaInfo reports that the company is working to bring this to the entire chat screen.
Although it has not yet been made available to beta test users, WABetaInfo has managed to enable the new interface; this interface includes a floating chat bar and a semi-transparent navigation bar with slight depth, shadow, and blur effects.
While WhatsApp users are still disappointed by the lack of the innovative look, this update shows that Meta continues to work on visual refresh, suggesting that a wider rollout may be delayed until it is aligned with the Liquid Glass design.
Regarding beta features, especially those referenced only in code, it is not definitively known when they will be officially released, as is the case here.
