However, the iPhone is a big part of this success. We knew that the iPhone 17 family was selling very well, but Apple has now confirmed that it has reached a new milestone.

Apple CFO Kevan Parekh stated for the Financial Times:

The iPhone 17 family is now the most popular model series in our history

No further details were shared. Does this mean it is the best-selling iPhone series overall? It seems to be what Parekh is suggesting. Perhaps during the earnings call, Apple will confirm this with more details.

Parekh also told FT that he believes Apple "gained market share" throughout the quarter. This indicates that the success of the iPhone is ahead of Android competitors in general.

Much has been written about the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max being big hits. However, the overall success of the entire series means that the iPhone Air has also made a significant contribution.

Although the Air may not have met some expectations, Apple has every reason to celebrate its current flagship series.
