Apple has released the third public beta version of iOS 26.5. The previous public beta introduced a new splash screen indicating the future arrival of ads in Apple Maps.
Features and Changes in iOS 26.5
Although there are no Gemini-supported AI features, the update includes several changes.
The most notable new feature in iOS 26.5 is found in Maps. The new "Suggested Places" feature is now part of the search section in Apple Maps.
Apple is also continuing to test end-to-end encryption for RCS in beta.
Particularly in Europe, Apple is testing the ability to relay Live Activities to third-party accessories.
iOS 26.5 may also support monthly payments for annual subscriptions at a discounted rate with commitment.
