If you want to buy Apple’s latest M5 MacBook Air at the beginning of the year, now is a better time than ever. The entry-level and most affordable 16GB models are currently at an all-time low price of $949. Additionally, for those needing more power/storage, there is also a $150 savings on the 24GB/1TB models.

Amazon is offering the best price ever for the 13-inch M5 MacBook Air with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage at $1,349 with shipping included. Normally $1,499, this means a $150 savings on the Midnight and Sky Blue models. The Silver and Starlight variants are $149 off.

The $150 discount also applies to the 15-inch M5 MacBook Air with 24GB RAM:

After launching in early March, we were tracking $50 launch deals on these 24GB machines, but Amazon has now become quite aggressive with pricing. As of this week, we are seeing $150 discounts on the most affordable machines and mid-range 16GB/1TB variants as well:

You can get the MacBook Neo cheaper, but for me, it’s still a really entry-level machine. It’s a really, really great machine, but definitely for those who don’t need too much power – 8GB RAM was insufficient on previous generation machines, and I can’t imagine it being enough in 2026 either – but the MacBook Air continues to be the best value in the lineup if you’re not using power-hungry video editing applications.

With $150 off on the M5 MacBook Air series at new all-time low prices, Amazon is also offering significant discounts on the 2026 M5 MacBook Pro series. The price for the 24GB/2TB has remained at this price since the Amazon Big Spring Sale began, but the 48GB/1TB model saw a price increase with a $199 discount earlier this month and is now back at Amazon’s all-time low price in both Space Black and Silver variants.

Rare deals starting at $7 on official black Apple USB-C cables are available again
