Apple CEO Tim Cook is participating in events this week in Washington D.C., just a few days after announcing Apple's CEO transition plan. This fall, John Ternus will become the CEO of Apple, and Cook will continue to serve actively as the Executive Chairman.

In his role as Executive Chairman, Apple states that the current CEO will remain active in engaging with policymakers around the world.

In this context, Cook's visit to Washington this week serves as a preview of what is to come, as well as a continuation of the last fifteen years.

Tim Cook is not just taking a victory tour in Washington D.C. this week. Cook is attending an event at the White House today where President Trump is welcoming the King and Queen of the United Kingdom.

Later today, King Charles III will address the United States Congress. Cook is likely to be present at this event as well.

Additionally, Cook met with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Lutnick at the U.S. Department of Commerce on Monday:
