iOS 26.4 was released this week, and among many changes, the update expands Apple Creator Studio with special new Freeform features.

Freeform Gets New Features with iOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, and iPadOS 26.4

Apple Creator Studio was launched earlier this year as Apple's latest app subscription offering.

Creator Studio brings together professional applications like Pixelmator Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Logic Pro, and offers special new features for Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.

When it was released, Apple stated that Freeform would add Creator Studio features throughout the year, and iOS 26.4 fulfills this promise.

iOS 26.4, macOS 26.4, and iPadOS 26.4 arrived this week and made Apple Creator Studio a better value, as it brought many upgrades to Freeform.

The new features span three categories:

  • AI-powered image creation tools
  • Advanced editing tools
  • Premium content library

You can now create new images in Freeform using OpenAI's image models. As seen above, the available options provide more control and are more powerful than what you will find in the Image Playground app.

Advanced editing tools include AI-powered cropping suggestions and the ability to upscale low-resolution images, similar to what is available in Pixelmator Pro.

Finally, there is a new premium content library in the Content Center. Just like in Pages, Keynote, and Numbers, you now have access to a wide range of resources in Freeform, including photos, graphics, backgrounds, and illustrations prepared by Apple.

If you are already a Freeform user, these improvements make the app a better space for enhancing your thoughts, ideas, and collaborations. If you are new to the app and subscribed to Creator Studio, there’s one more reason to try Freeform.

Apple Creator Studio costs $12.99 per month, but in some cases, free trial periods of up to 3 months are available.
