Netflix is getting more expensive again... The streaming giant has announced new pricing for all subscription plans, with the Premium plan now costing $26.99 per month. Here are the details.
Netflix is more expensive across all plans; Premium is now $26.99
Have you heard this before: A TV streaming service is raising prices.
Netflix feels like it was under $10 for a good plan a long time ago, but it has announced new, higher prices again (source: Variety).
Here are the new U.S. prices for all three plans:
- Ad-Supported Standard: $8.99/month, up from $7.99
- Standard: $19.99/month, up from $17.99
- Premium: $26.99/month, up from $24.99
So if you don’t want to see ads, the cheapest Netflix plan is now $19.99. And for 4K content, you’ll need to pay nearly $30/month.
You can see the full details of each plan on Netflix’s website here.
Although these increases are not deemed "significant," considering how often Netflix and other streaming services raise their prices, these new price tags still feel a bit unsettling.
Recently, Netflix withdrew its massive $83 billion offer for Warner Bros. Discovery, resulting in an almost $3 billion breakup fee. However, it seems these cost savings do not provide relief from price increases for subscribers.
