The 2026 Formula 1 season starts this weekend with the first race being the Australian Grand Prix. If you are in the United States, the sport's new broadcaster is streaming all races live and on-demand with an Apple TV subscription.
You can watch on various platforms including iPhone, Android, Mac, Apple TV 4K set-top box, Windows, PlayStation, Xbox, Fire Stick, Roku, and many more through the Apple TV app. You can also watch online at tv.apple.com.
This deal is only valid in the United States. All you need to watch is an Apple TV subscription for $12.99 per month or $99 per year. You can also get Apple TV as part of the Apple One bundle. However, to make this work, you must have an Apple Account registered in the U.S. and be physically located in the U.S.
If you don’t have a subscription yet, you can get a seven-day free trial here. Additionally, if you just want to get a taste, all practice sessions are streamed for free before the paid content.
In the Apple TV app, you will find a dedicated Formula 1 section. During race weekends, this section will include quick links to start watching the available live sessions, in 4K HDR quality with a surround sound audio track. You can choose F1.TV or international Sky video streaming to listen to your preferred commentary team.
Onboard images and some alternative streams are also available as options. On Apple TV 4K, iPad, and Vision Pro, you can use the Multi-View mode to watch multiple streams simultaneously.
Here is the schedule for the Australian Grand Prix, according to Eastern Time:
- First Practice: Thursday, 8:30 PM ET
- Second Practice: Friday, 12:00 AM ET
- Third Practice: Friday, 8:30 PM ET
- Qualifying: Saturday, 12:00 AM ET
- Race: Saturday, 11 PM ET
If you miss the live viewing, you can go to the Apple TV app at any time to find replays of all completed sessions.
If you are used to using the F1.TV app or website, you can continue to do so - you just need to link your Apple and F1.TV accounts.
If you can’t watch, you can listen to audio commentary from the Radio tab on Apple Music. Or you can follow live timing for free through the Apple Sports app.
