Over the years, I have tried many MagSafe wallets and have yet to find the perfect one. After spending a few weeks with the Apple FineWoven wallet, I decided to switch to ESR's five-card MagSafe wallet (black). While the ESR option supports five cards, the FineWoven version only has three cards, making it definitely thicker. Despite the extra bulk, it quickly became my daily driver thanks to its separate ID slots and ability to hold multiple cards.

This wallet can hold up to five cards with three dedicated slots and a transparent ID window for your driver's license. I really love the dedicated ID slot. ESR also added a wider oval compartment at the bottom that makes it easier to slide the cards out; this is an issue I had with other wallets. It’s one of those little touches that really makes a big difference when you use it multiple times a day. Since you can separate the cards, you can easily grab your ID without fumbling with your credit cards, and vice versa. A few times with Apple’s wallet, I dropped a credit card on the floor when I took everything out.
The magnetic strength of this wallet is also impressive. ESR claims it has a holding power of 3,200 g; that’s four times stronger than Apple’s FineWoven MagSafe wallet. It’s quite impressive to see the difference when you have both together. It only comes off when you want it to. The stand feature is also great. I used it to watch MLB Spring Training on my desk.
Overall Evaluation
Overall, I love the wallet. I really like the separate compartments for IDs and credit cards. Made from vegan leather, it also offers built-in degaussing protection to prevent your cards from being demagnetized. It is compatible with all MagSafe iPhones except for the 12 and 13 mini (RIP) and works with official MagSafe cases as well as ESR’s own HaloLock cases. Right now, it’s my daily-used MagSafe wallet. The only thing missing is Find My support.
