TikTok and Apple Music are coming together to offer two new features for iPhone users. Play Full Song allows Apple Music subscribers to listen to "full music" without leaving TikTok. Listening Party, according to TikTok, aims to bring artists and fans together on the platform.

Play Full Song — Exclusively for Apple Music

TikTok describes the new Play Full Song feature as "a new music discovery experience that makes it easier to interact with the music they discover on TikTok." Apple Music enhances the TikTok experience for Apple Music subscribers as the first and only music service supported at launch.

“Getting to the music you love should be effortless,” says Ole Obermann from Apple Music. “With Play Full Song, Apple Music subscribers can easily transition from discovering a track on TikTok to listening to it in full without interrupting the flow. This integration allows fans to form a deeper connection with their favorite artists while opening up a powerful new avenue for artists – turning discovery moments into deeper connections and sustainable interactions.”

TikTok already allowed users to add songs to Apple Music without leaving the app. Now, the latest feature based on Apple's MusicKit takes this even further:

The new Play Full Song experience helps music fans seamlessly transition from discovery moments to deep listening, all happening in the same environment. Users can also save their favorite songs to Your Music and easily track their favorite music by adding them directly to Apple Music playlists.

The full-length song listening experience created using Apple’s MusicKit takes place on Apple Music, so streams are paid for within the Apple Music service, supporting artists and rights holders while providing fans with a seamless experience.

Listening Party Live

The next feature is Listening Party. TikTok states that this creates a shared environment where “fans can listen to songs from their favorite artists in real-time, interact with each other, and engage directly with the artist during the session.”

TikTok mentions that both features will be “available worldwide in the coming weeks.”

Apple Music starts at $10.99 per month after a one-month free trial for new subscribers.
