The iPhone Fold is coming this fall, and new rumors that emerged today provide details about the expected RAM, storage, and pricing.
iPhone Fold features and potential prices revealed in latest rumors
Earlier this week, several leaks surfaced containing new details about the iPhone 18 Pro. Now, the latest rumors are focusing on the iPhone Fold.
Apple's first foldable iPhone will be released in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
According to a new report from The Bell, the iPhone Fold will have 12GB of RAM, the same as Apple's Pro models, which also matches the iPhone 17 Pro.
Samsung is reportedly the supplier of Apple's 12GB LPDDR5X order.
Regarding storage, leaker Instant Digital states that the foldable model will come with three storage options:
- 256GB
- 512GB
- 1TB
These three options are one less than the 2TB option available in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, they match the same three options available in the smaller iPhone 17 Pro.
Instant Digital also revealed the expected prices for each model.
The listed prices are 15,999, 17,999, and 19,999 yuan. As noted by Macworld, these prices align with potential US pricing:
- $1,999 for 256GB
- $2,199 for 512GB
- $2,399 for 1TB
All these prices represent a significant increase compared to the price of the current most expensive iPhone. However, they are quite consistent with many previous rumors suggesting that the iPhone Fold would be priced between $2,000 and $2,400.
