Bloober Team announced that the award-winning game Cronos: Dawn of New Day will be released with native support for Apple silicon Macs on April 28. Here are the details.
Important games continue to come to Mac
Cronos: Dawn of New Day was released last September on various platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, Nintendo Switch 2, Windows, and Linux.
A completely new survival horror genre emerges with Cronos: Dawn of New Day. Survive in the brutal barren lands of the future, fight against nightmarish creatures, and try to uncover the origins of the apocalypse that annihilates humanity while collecting souls by going back in time.
Today, the studio announced that the game will also be released for Mac on April 28, and it will come with native support including Apple’s native graphics technologies, such as MetalFX Upscaling. This technology was introduced with macOS 26 Tahoe.
Today’s announcement comes after the successful release of Crimson Desert on Mac, alongside more traditional gaming platforms like PS5 and Xbox.
Although Cronos: Dawn of New Day is not a new release, its upcoming native launch on Mac is gaining momentum in Apple’s efforts to position the platform as a serious gaming machine.
