Last month, Amazon announced that Prime Video Ultra would soon launch in the US, and it officially arrived that day. Here are the details and how to sign up.

Prime Video Ultra is Amazon's new ad-free plan priced at $4.99/month, replacing the previous plan

Amazon has launched a new ad-free subscription plan for Prime Video, which replaces the previous ad-free plan for US subscribers.

Prime Video Ultra is currently available for existing Prime subscribers at a price of $4.99/month.

The previous ad-free Prime Video plan was priced at $2.99/month, so there is a significant increase with Ultra.

However, this increase also comes with some new features that make it more appealing compared to the ad-supported plan on Prime Video.

Firstly, 4K/UHD streaming is exclusive to Prime Video Ultra. So if high-quality streams are important to you, you should opt for Ultra.

Additionally, Ultra users can now stream five streams simultaneously. The previous ad-free plan only supported three streams.

Finally, Prime Video Ultra offers the ability to download 100 offline titles at once, which is a significant increase from the previous limit of 25.

These advantages are nice, but for many users, the biggest appeal of Ultra will likely be the removal of ads.

To sign up for Prime Video Ultra, go to this page and select the 'Go ad-free with Ultra' button.
