The MacBook Neo is available in fun color options, but some people want to take it a step further to give their machines a more personal look.
Some do this with skins, cases, or silicone key covers, but you can change the color combination using official Apple parts for just $39...
Macworld noted this possibility by observing that the cost of spare parts for the MacBook Neo is quite reasonable. For example, a new bottom case costs only $34.32, while a full keyboard replacement costs $113.52.
The site's Roman Loyola points out that the cost of spare key covers is so cheap that switching to a different color becomes a practical way to personalize.
The store doesn’t seem to restrict your part selection by color. For example, you can buy a citrus bottom case replacement part for your silver Neo or indigo key covers ($39) to change your pink key covers.
You can order key covers in all four colors from here, but Loyola mentions that you need to download the free repair guide first to obtain the code required by Apple to prove that you can perform the replacement. As far as I understand, all Apple asks from you is to enter the user guide's identification number, which is referred to as ZFXBHN.
Those who are more ambitious can even replace the SSD with a 1TB model.
