Yesterday, we learned that X-Plane 12, "the world's most advanced flight simulator," will soon work with Apple Vision Pro. Now, we have our first look at what the experience will look like; it also includes how ARKit cleverly manages physical controls.

X-Plane 12 is coming to Apple Vision Pro this spring through a companion app. Support will be provided with visionOS 26.4, which supports Nvidia CloudXR 6.0 technology. The flight simulator will stream in mixed reality from X-Plane 12 on Mac, Windows, or Linux to Apple Vision Pro.

Now, Spatial Insider creator Justin Ryan has shared a first look at how X-Plane 12 works on Apple Vision Pro.

Here’s the first look at X-Plane 12 on Apple Vision Pro!

With visionOS 26.4 and NVIDIA CloudXR 6.0, the simulator streams wirelessly to your headset at up to 4K/120fps.

As announced yesterday, the experience offers support for showing your physical yoke or throttle with ARKit for a more realistic perspective.

Let’s expect more simulators in the future. Apple’s partnership with F1 on Apple TV is eagerly anticipating the arrival of a racing simulator.
