Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård (Sentimental Value) will star alongside Dakota Fanning (All Her Fault) in an untitled international thriller series being developed for Apple TV. Here’s what we know so far.
Two Stars, Untitled Series
Earlier this year, Deadline reported that Apple had acquired the distribution rights for a new thriller series. This series will be produced by Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind Apple TV's projects such as For All Mankind, Star City, Black Bird, The Afterparty, Platonic, Pluribus, and Dark Matter.
At that time, Deadline noted that Dakota Fanning would star in the series and also serve as an executive producer alongside her sister Elle Fanning (A Rainy Day in New York). The series will be directed by Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier).
Now, Apple has confirmed that this year’s Academy Award-nominated Best Supporting Actor Stellan Skarsgård will also be part of the series.

According to Apple, here’s what to expect from the upcoming series:
Fanning will play a secret Treasury agent within a multinational conglomerate with political and criminal connections worldwide. She will experience a conflict between her duty and her beliefs that the person seen as the heir to this corrupt power is, in fact, a good person who deserves her love.
As with most early-stage projects, there is no release date for the series yet. However, its name is expected to be revealed soon.
Apple TV is available for $12.99 a month and includes hit TV shows and movies such as F1 The Movie, Pluribus, Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking, and Silo.
