I really love Apple Arcade. The game catalog is really compatible with my son, and a single subscription unlocks hundreds of premium games. The best part is that the games are ad-free and have no in-app purchases.

This provides a much better gaming experience on his iPad. However, there is one feature I wish Apple would add.

Apple Arcade games are often passed

Spring break has arrived, and my child has only one question: "Can I download this Apple Arcade game?" The only problem is that he asks this question very often.

(We also did some fishing during spring break from school. At that time, the only question he asked was whether I would allow him to bait his fishing rod again, but let's get back to Apple topics.)

Overall, I support him downloading and trying out many Apple Arcade games, and I want him to discover which games he likes.

If Apple offers this, I would even be happy to allow him to download any Apple Arcade game without needing approval. If a game passes Apple's threshold for being in the Arcade, it generally provides a good fit for him (with a few exceptions).

App Store's Purchase Request Feature

This does not apply to the App Store.

Apple's Purchase Request feature is an important part of managing App Store usage with Family Sharing and children. This feature allows you or another guardian to review and approve or deny requests to download apps and make in-app purchases.

What I want to see is the Purchase Request feature for the App Store being offered without requiring a Purchase Request for Apple Arcade. Until that is possible, I will gladly approve every Apple Arcade game — one request at a time.
