'iPhone Ultra' Name and September Launch Get Additional Support, More

Earlier this week, previous reports indicated that the foldable phone could be delayed by a few months, then a more reliable report suggested that the September launch is still planned. Now, to close the week, three new shares regarding the foldable iPhone have come from well-known Weibo leak sources.

The leak source Instant Digital confirmed the previous claim regarding the 'Ultra' name for the foldable phone. In a new post, it listed the names of three models: iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, iPhone Ultra. The latter, according to its post, is the reference for the foldable phone.

With a few months left until the fall launch, naming plans can always change. However, with two well-known leak sources supporting the 'iPhone Ultra' brand, this seems to be Apple’s direction.

Next, Fixed Focus Digital made two new posts related to the foldable.

In one of its posts, it addresses the launch timing. Strengthening the claim that the foldable phone is “on the way” for a September launch, here is the translated post:

It will definitely be released this year… The production lines are already in the final stages of processing.

The most likely scenario is for it to be introduced alongside the iPhone 18 series. If there is a delay, it will only be a one-month postponement.

It also mentions that Apple has increased its foldable screen inventory by 20% and initially had a stock of 11 million units. This contradicts previous reports suggesting that the company was very cautious in its launch supply.
