Claude Cowork, an application available on macOS, is losing its "research preview" label today with the introduction of Anthropic's corporate capabilities. Additionally, Anthropic is reclaiming the AI agent narrative with Claude Managed Agents.

Claude Cowork Ready for Corporate Use

Anthropic introduced Claude Cowork as a research preview three months ago. Since then, Claude's ability to manage workflows on Mac has matured.

As of today, Claude Cowork includes six features specifically designed for corporate use:

  • Role-based access control
  • Group spending limits
  • Usage analytics
  • Extended OpenTelemetry support
  • Zoom MCP integration
  • Connection control for each tool

You can find more information about each feature in the company's announcement post.

Anthropic notes that Claude Cowork is now generally available for all paid subscribers on macOS and Windows.

Claude Managed Agents Are Here

Meanwhile, Anthropic has a new public beta tool called Claude Managed Agents. Managed Agents are "a set of component APIs for building and deploying scalable cloud-based agents," the company says.

So far, creating agents has meant spending development cycles on secure infrastructure, state management, permissions, and rerunning your agent loops for every model update. Managed Agents allow you to transition from prototype to launch in days by combining a performance-tuned agent source with production infrastructure.

Companies like Notion, Asana, and Sentry have already used Managed Agents to create new solutions with Claude. The new tool is now available on the Claude Platform for all developers.

Both developments follow the introduction of Claude Mythos Preview and Project Glasswing. Anthropic is not yet releasing its most powerful AI model announced this week.

Instead, it is working with companies including Apple to use Mythos as a cybersecurity tool to discover and resolve software vulnerabilities.
