Apple TV has just released Margo’s Got Money Troubles, one of the most critically acclaimed series of the year, and now another new comedy series is getting ready to premiere; this series is also highly praised and more is on the way.
Margo’s Got Money Troubles and Widow’s Bay offer two unique and beloved comedy series
Starting this week, Apple TV will have two top-tier new comedy series that will air new episodes every Wednesday (technically on Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM ET).
Margo’s Got Money Troubles premiered earlier this month to significant critical acclaim.
Based on Rufi Thorpe’s hit novel, the series boasts a 96% Rotten Tomatoes score from over 50 critics.
It stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Nicole Kidman, and more. Currently, four episodes are available, and weekly releases will continue until May 20.

And this week, Apple will release another beloved but very different comedy series.
Widow’s Bay will premiere with two episodes this Wednesday, April 29, followed by weekly releases until June 17.
This mysterious and complex series combines comedy with horror, thriller, and character dramas. While this combination shouldn’t really work, critics say the exact opposite.
With 15 reviews so far, Widow’s Bay has a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Matthew Rhys stars in the series created by Katie Dippold, the creator of Parks and Recreation. Rhys portrays the mayor of a small New England town that is believed to be cursed.

New and returning Apple TV comedies are coming soon
Beyond Apple’s current offerings, there are several more premieres for new and returning comedies coming soon.
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is coming on May 20 as a dark comedy-thriller featuring Tatiana Maslany (‘Orphan Black’) and Jake Johnson (‘New Girl’). The latest trailer released today leans more towards a tense atmosphere, but carries a comedic undertone overall.
Looking ahead, Ted Lasso is returning this summer for its 4th season. Apple has not yet confirmed a specific release date, but star Hannah Waddingham said it will be coming in August.
A new film titled The Dink will also premiere in July. It’s a pickleball comedy starring Jake Johnson, Mary Steenburgen, and Ed Harris.
