Apple has just wrapped up an exciting week – starting with the iPhone 17 and ending with the MacBook Neo. Although we introduced 7 new products this week, there is more on the way in the near future. Let's take a look at these products.
Mac
Overall, Apple made significant cleanups in its Mac series. The introduction of both the Studio Display and Studio Display XDR last week was truly surprising – in addition to the announcement of the M5 MacBook Air and M5 Pro/M5 Max MacBook Pro.
However, more is coming: Apple plans to release the M5 Max and M5 Ultra Mac Studio in the near future. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported in the February 22 Power On newsletter that the new Mac Studio will debut in the first half of 2026.
In the future, a refreshed Mac mini and iMac are expected to be released, likely with M6 chips. Additionally, you can expect a redesigned MacBook Pro with M6 Pro and M6 Max in October.
iPad
This week, Apple introduced the refreshed iPad Air with the M4 chip. However, there was another rumor that did not materialize: the budget-friendly iPad.
It was said that Apple would update the low-cost iPad with the A18 chip this week, but that did not happen. It is likely to come in the first half of the year, but details are unclear.
No iPad Pro update is expected for 2026, but Apple is working on a refreshed iPad mini with OLED and A19 Pro, which is planned to be released in the fall.
Home Products
Three major home products from Apple are on the way: a refreshed Apple TV, a refreshed HomePod mini, and a completely new smart home display – many people are calling it HomePad.
The updated Apple TV 4K will include the A17 Pro chip. This means it will support Apple Intelligence. Additionally, it is expected to include Apple's new N1 network chip.
The HomePod mini will come with a newer chipset (the current model includes the S5 chip) and will likely be offered in some new color options, such as red. This will be the first HomePod mini update in over five years.
The biggest announcement from this group will likely be the new smart home display. With the A18 chip, 7-inch screen, and interaction with HomeKit and Siri, it will become the ultimate smart home hub.
Having been in the background for a while, it is expected to be introduced this year alongside Apple's AI-supported Siri – we hope.
September Launches
As we enter September, Apple will introduce new flagship iPhones, Apple Watches, and possibly AirPods.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be introduced with new color options (possibly red), improved cameras, and slightly larger batteries. Apple will also introduce its first foldable iPhone.
For the rest of the iPhone series, Apple may decide not to introduce the base iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 until spring 2027 – as part of a strategy to gradually adjust iPhone release cycles.
Apple will also introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. There is not much information yet, but new health sensors, possibly Touch ID support, and better battery life are expected.
Finally, Apple may introduce a pair of AirPods Pro 3 with a camera. This product will leverage Apple's visual intelligence technology, and the aim is said to be allowing you to talk to Siri about your surroundings.
