Apple has stated that it wants the new MacBook Neo to be seen as a fun addition to the Mac series, and this is reflected in both the colors and the name.

The MacBook Neo comes in four colors: pink, indigo, silver, and what Apple calls "fresh new citrus." My first impressions of these colors are great. Apple earns extra points for matching the colors with the keyboards. The tone of the colors can vary significantly depending on lighting and angle; this is also true for sky blue, one of the other MacBook colors Apple is selling.

Those who noted that the machines do not look as colorful in real life as they do in the photos were not alone, especially regarding the keyboards. Still, this is definitely a fun move by Apple.

While it may seem that this decision was made long ago, it is certain that the company has drawn courage from the popularity of the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro.

The shift in shipping dates for pre-orders gave a bit of a hint about the relative popularity of the colors. The dates indicate that the blush model, which Apple calls pink, is the most popular among the four colors, while silver is the least popular. This suggests that buyers are embracing the novelty of the Neo and are not trying to make it look like a more expensive model.

From our pre-launch survey, it seems that you are in favor of Apple offering its products in more colors, although it is interesting to note that the pastel tones preferred by the company are the least popular option. Most of you want Apple to be bolder in its color choices. It will be interesting to see the tones the company chooses for the new iMac colors we expect later in the year.
