Welcome to the Indie App Spotlight. This is a weekly 9to5Mac series where we showcase the latest apps from the independent app world. If you are a developer and want your app to be featured, please reach out to us.

Managing multiple alarms in the clock app can be quite frustrating. VariAlarm aims to fix this by dynamically adjusting your alarm clocks according to your schedule instead of fixed times.

Highlights

Instead of having to constantly turn alarms on and off, VariAlarm allows you to create templates. For example, you might want an alarm at 5:45 for a sports day, followed by a reminder at 6. On a workday, you can set a slightly different setting, like waking up at 7. VariAlarm eliminates the need to enter your alarm app every night.

VariAlarm also supports synchronization with Apple Calendar, helping you keep your alarms up to date. For instance, if you have a meeting you need to wake up for in the morning and that meeting gets postponed, your alarm times will automatically change as well. VariAlarm provides a local experience by taking advantage of the new alarm API in iOS 26.

To allow you to make adjustments that fit your routines, VariAlarm lets you set the volume and duration of the alarm sound. Additionally, there are lock screen widgets available to keep you constantly informed.

VariAlarm is available for free on the App Store for iPhone users running iOS 26 and above. There is a 7-day free trial for subscription options, but for a limited time, you can purchase VariAlarm for a one-time fee of $14.99.
