Apple TV announced the release date of Ted Lasso's season 4 yesterday and today revealed that another beloved, critically acclaimed comedy will return for a new season: Trying.
Trying season 5 will premiere on Apple TV on July 8
Trying and Ted Lasso premiered in 2020, providing comforting television content during a challenging year.
Now Apple is bringing both shows back this summer with new seasons, offering more good energy and laughter.
Season 5 of Trying will kick off with an episode on Wednesday, July 8 and will continue with weekly releases until August 26.
The series follows the journey of London-based couple Nikki (Esther Smith) and Jason (Rafe Spall) as they navigate infertility, fostering, and adoption.
If you haven't watched Trying but enjoy heartfelt comedies like Shrinking and Ted Lasso, I definitely recommend checking this show out. Its impressive 96% Rotten Tomatoes score proves its success over four seasons.

The premise of the new season is as follows according to Apple:
The fifth season deals with the chaos that ensues when Nikki (Smith) and Jason (Spall) face the consequences of the arrival of Princess (Scarlett Rayner) and Tyler’s (Cooper Turner) biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley).
