Twisted Yoga is a new Apple TV series premiering today, and it presents a rare true crime offering for the platform.
Twisted Yoga is available on Apple TV, all episodes now streaming
Apple TV has built a vast library of sci-fi hits, thrillers, and beloved comedies, with more on the way soon. However, true crime is a rare genre for the platform.
The previous two true crime originals were 2022’s The Big Conn and 2024’s Hollywood Con Queen.
Today, a third true crime series has arrived.
Twisted Yoga is available to watch here on Apple TV.
The three-episode show is fully available, with episodes ranging from 42 to 50 minutes.
In the style of popular productions like Netflix’s Making a Murderer, it tackles a real case in a documentary format. The alleged perpetrator at the center of the show is currently facing charges in France.
Here’s Apple’s official summary of what to expect from Twisted Yoga:
“Twisted Yoga” follows the events that unfold as young yoga students, in search of inner peace and purpose, fall under the influence of Romanian “guru” Gregorian Bivolaru. Bivolaru is a spiritual leader who heads a network of yoga studios specializing in tantric rituals. When the students begin to fear they are part of a cult, they discover that Bivolaru calls selected female students to his apartment in Paris for private initiations and has a dark past. Bivolaru is currently facing charges of human trafficking, kidnapping, and rape in France — he denies the allegations against him — and these women are working with French authorities to convict him.
