Oliver Jones, an Apple TV executive who has worked on productions such as Masters of the Air and Disclaimer over the past six years, is moving to Amazon MGM Studios. Here are the details.
Jones Will Oversee UK Scripted Content Management at Amazon
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Nicole Clemens, the vice president responsible for international original content at Amazon MGM Studios, announced Oliver Jones' joining the company through internal communication.
Jones is leaving his role as senior creative executive for international scripted television at Apple TV. He has been involved in projects such as Masters of the Air, Disclaimer, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters has only a few episodes left in its second season.
Here’s what he said about his departure:
It has been a privilege to work with my amazing colleagues at Apple TV over the past six years, and it has been a great fortune to collaborate with the extraordinary artists I have worked with. […] Leaving a job I love is always a tough decision, but it is time to go home and start a new adventure. With Amazon MGM Studios' commitment to ambitious, provocative, and high-quality storytelling, along with its growing investment in the UK, there couldn’t be a more exciting moment to join Nicole and her extraordinary team.
At Amazon, Jones will work as the senior commissioner for UK scripted content, which will be part of Amazon's efforts to "broaden the range of content for UK and global audiences."
