Today, two posts from Weibo leaks have revealed what we can expect regarding the design, dimensions, and more of the new iPhone 18 Pro.

Latest iPhone 18 Pro Rumors Provide New Details, But There Are Doubts About One Change

The iPhone 18 Pro is only six months away, and while the latest rumors provide some clarity about Apple’s plans for this device, they also bring new uncertainties.

In terms of design, we were expecting a few changes:

  1. A thicker frame for a larger battery
  2. A Dynamic Island that is approximately 35% smaller
  3. New colors and a unified look on the back

Today, two notable Weibo leakers provided new information about what’s coming.

A new post from Ice Universe clarifies how much thicker the device will be.

He states that the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be 8.8mm thick.

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is 8.75mm, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.25mm thick. So, this year’s increase is much smaller than the increase from the iPhone 17.

Additionally, Digital Chat Station shared that Apple is considering reusing some molds from the iPhone 17 Pro for the iPhone 18 Pro series.

If this happens, the Face ID components expected to be moved under the display may remain unchanged. As a result, this means that the Dynamic Island may not shrink as much as anticipated.

Digital Chat Station also highlighted three upgrades that he believes are confirmed. He notes that the A20 Pro chip with a 2nm process, a larger battery exceeding 5000mAh capacity, and camera aperture changes will be strong selling points for the device.
