‘Outcome’ Now Available on Apple TV
Last February, Apple TV held a one-day media event and announced many films and series that will premiere throughout the year.
One of these productions was Outcome, directed by Jonah Hill, featuring Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz (Vanilla Sky), and Matt Bomer (The Nice Guys).
The film is now available for Apple TV subscribers to watch.
According to Apple's summary, here’s what to expect from Outcome:
Outcome is a dark comedy where beloved Hollywood star Reef Hawk (Reeves) is forced to confront his inner demons after being threatened by a mysterious video that could tarnish his image and end his career. With the support of crisis attorney Ira (Hill) and his lifelong best friends Kyle (Diaz) and Xander (Bomer), Reef embarks on a journey of self-discovery to make amends with everyone he may have wronged and to identify the blackmailer.
The film was released just hours after its first reviews came in, receiving a rather lukewarm response: it scored only 22% on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer. IndieWire described the film as "a desperate and unfunny comedy about the pain of public opinion."
Most negative reviews focused on Jonah Hill's performance as co-writer and director, while Reeves received more positive remarks from critics. Aaron Neuwirth from We Live Entertainment stated that Reeves “clearly adapts to what the story requires.”
