A new interactive data project prepared by sheets.works allows you to examine every iPhone model by scrolling through a timeline of technical specifications, colors, and the hardware features that have been removed from the device over the years. You can check it out below.

19 years, 52 models

Every week, the sheets.works team publishes a project they call "Data Drop," which includes beautifully crafted interactive infographics covering space exploration, geopolitics, gaming, cinema, sports, and more.

Recently, they published an interactive timeline detailing the 52 iPhone models released by Apple over 19 years, titled "Every Made iPhone."

The timeline is divided into sections containing a complete list of each iPhone side by side, in proportional sizes, along with the original wallpaper, name, size, and release year.

After that, they select 11 moments that define many generations, such as the introduction of the Retina display, the release of the 5.5" iPhone 6 Plus, and the launch of the iPhone X.

An interesting interactive graphic shows the price evolution of the basic and most expensive models over the years, followed by a section titled "Grave" that lists the hardware features Apple has removed over the years. These features include the 30-pin connector, headphone jack, and 3D Touch.

Finally, they showcase every color of each iPhone model and then present individual cards with technical specifications such as screen size, battery capacity, processor, and camera for each model.

Whether you have been following the evolution of the iPhone since the beginning or joined in recent years, this website will take you back in time.

And while in a nostalgic mood, don’t forget to check out Dylan McDonald’s "Every iPod Color" post from 9to5Mac in 2023.

In this article, he compiled a fairly comprehensive catalog containing the name of every color for every iPod released by Apple and actually became part of the quest to own them all.
