For those who love to travel but prefer an E Ink screen over using their iPhone, I can say that a company called Xteink might offer the solution you are looking for: the X4, a slim e-reader compatible with MagSafe.
The e-reader connects to the iPhone 17 Pro Max via MagSafe, increasing portability; more iPhone models will be supported soon
I love reading, but I have never owned a standalone e-reader because I don’t want to carry an extra device with me all the time. That’s why I mostly read on my iPhone.
If you’re like me, it seems that the company Xteink has found a solution.
The newly launched X4 e-reader with E Ink can connect to an iPhone 17 Pro Max or a similarly sized phone via MagSafe.
With a thickness of just 5.9mm, it doesn’t add much weight to your iPhone. Also, since it stays magnetically attached, it feels like a part of your iPhone, making it much more practical than carrying a separate device.
You can buy the X4 from Amazon for just $69.
If your iPhone isn’t a Pro Max model, another option is coming soon for you.
In a post shared today by Quinn Nelson, it is mentioned that a smaller X3 model will be released soon, which will be compatible with models like iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone Air.
Do you remember that really small e-reader I introduced a few months ago? There’s now a smaller version that will fit on the back of every iPhone with MagSafe. pic.twitter.com/MnTlJXuJ8y

You can find more details about the upcoming X3 model on Xteink’s website. It will be priced at $79, and pre-orders are currently open.
