Personally, I approach the idea that Apple will bring the new Dynamic Island to more iPhones so quickly with skepticism.

Historically, any design advancements in the iPhone start with the more expensive models and then gradually spread to other models. Therefore, if the base iPhone 18 receives the smaller Dynamic Island, it would be a pleasant surprise.

If the iPhone Air 2 is released this fall, it is more likely to receive the new Dynamic Island. Apple will do its best to make the Air 2 feel new, and reports suggest that it may take another generation before a second rear camera is added.

Thus, perhaps all models this fall will have the new design, but the base iPhone 18 will not include it until next spring.
