Apple has taken another step closer to releasing the 26.5 software update series today, with beta 4 for iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and more now available.

Update: Within just a few hours, public beta versions of these updates have also started to be distributed.

iPadOS 26.5 Beta 4 and More Now Available for Developers

There are only six weeks left until Apple introduces iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, and more at its WWDC event.

However, until then, Apple has at least one more wave of software updates that will be made public.

iOS 26.5 and its accompanying updates are expected to be released in mid-May, and today these versions have reached developer beta 4.

iPadOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, visionOS 26.5, and more are available as beta 4 for developers. Public beta versions are also expected to arrive in the coming days.

So far, it seems that Apple’s 26.5 updates will be slightly lighter on the usual new features.

Some of the biggest highlights include new features coming to three popular apps: Messages, Maps, and the App Store.

Additionally, it was revealed last week that watchOS 26.5 will typically receive a new Pride watch face around this time of year.

Aside from that, Apple is focused on performance and stability in these updates. We will inform you if anything new is discovered in today’s beta 4 releases.
