Vietnam: The War That Changed America has received three nominations for the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards today. Here are the contenders it is up against.

Earlier today, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 47th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards. The awards will take place on May 27 and 28 in New York City.

Apple received a total of 3 nominations, all for the six-part documentary series Vietnam: The War That Changed America, which premiered earlier last year.

Narrated by Ethan Hawke, Vietnam: The War That Changed America "paints an extraordinary and profound picture of what it was like to experience one of the longest wars in history, with old friends reuniting, first-person narratives, and rare footage," says Apple.

When the documentary categories are presented on May 28, Vietnam: The War That Changed America will compete in the following categories:
